I am beyond excited to announce my first Casual Craft Night of 2026. We’ll be making embroidered felt hearts.

If you know me, we’ve probably had a conversation about my desire to provide opportunities for creative community close to home. If you don’t know me, I’m an event professional and crafter with a passion for creating both artsy things and meaningful experiences.

The idea of Casual Craft Nights is to explore a new craft technique in a low stakes, low cost environment. It won’t be an hours-long workshop with a specific finished project. Instead, I’ll go over the basics and provide the supplies for you to learn something new while you’re laughing, chatting and enjoying the Brewstillery. This month will be focused on embroidery and felt. I’ll have everything you need to learn several stitches and complete custom felt hearts (or not hearts) of various sizes. There’s no pressure to finish and no pressure to be perfect. It’s always a joy to gather and make things – even if you say you’re not creative. Sometimes it’s nice just to stab something for a while. Bring a friend or enjoy some time stitching solo.

I will be set up at Union Grove Distillery in Arkville, NY from 5PM to Close on Thursday 2/5 and Friday 2/6. Union Grove is home to a bar stocked with their own locally made spirits and Calico Outlaw Brewing beers. Food truck available Friday. This is an adult event. There is a suggested contribution of $5-10 per heart; however, this is meant to be inclusive, so pay what you are able.
